This 3D animation depicting the installation of USG’s Durock Shower System presented many technical challenges as we had to show thinset mortar, membranes, tile and other elements being layered on top of each other. Shawn had to employ various 3D cheats to keep the thinset from protruding through the thin membranes. His DIY experience in installing tile greatly facilitated communication with the USG engineers to ensure the animation would be technically accurate.
